We make plenty of mistakes, but we also take measures to correct those mistakes... I think we'll do just fine in the years ahead... It's the American way... : >

You mean put the white collar crooks in jail?
That would be a good start, until then it is just lip-sevice..

One thing to remember, and is a big thing, America has been dumbed down to such an extent I worry about the future in a way I have not before.

William:

No doubt this is a more competitive world... Year after year I keep hearing about how students excel above ours overseas... Yet, American business continues to lead the way in innovation... The environment in which Americans live is what sets us apart... With all of the scandals in and out of Gov't, America is still the country of choice to do business with because people overseas know that we tackle our problems publicly... We are more transparent than any other country on earth...

During the early 80's people questioned how we could ever catch up to the Japanese economic miracle... We did, and surpassed them... Why? Because our system is self correcting... Yes, there's pain during the correction process but time and time again we climb higher mountains... What's that I see in the distance? More mountains for us to climb after we clean out the current load of corporate garbage...
