We now have over 60 million square feet on the market which is a historical high. This exceeds 20% of the entire building base in Silicon Valley!

That is one of the key indicators I thought we would have to get to. The other is the unemployment rate (in the valley) which is near historical high (percentage wise). I therefore conclude we are at the tech bottom. Now to dig out.

Only 20% of the bldg base? Based on what I wonder, square footage?

Because if its square fts, it seems like there is much more than 20% of entire bldg base vacant. The entire town of milpitas is vacant for example. Maybe SF is included and propping up the numbers.
