Believe we'd have to look back to the 1970's or earlier to see the origion of that notion....Be interesting to research.... It has reached the insanity level, IMO....One Middle School that I visited 6 years ago had 34 (Thirty Four) different languages to cope with....trying to teach middle school age kids in 34 languages Math, History, English, Social Studies, or anything else is just impossible .... If Americans want to see what is going on or not, as the case may be, have them visit the schools....then go to the local State Drivers License facility........Just see how many languages driving regs are printed in.... Wonder if there is ANY other country on this planet that goes out of their way to accomodate new people in this manner... No, I don't believe there is.
