well if seclular implies demographic shifts and disinflation... what would be the argument for a secular bear then... only valuation? Because demographics and investment allocation shifts would point to a secular bull in the 2000-2010 period. Of course valuation is a moving target and at extreme levels on the naz now with no sales in technology. I'm hoping to see valuations come down in tech with all this consolidation and downsizing at the companies... also p/e is not the only metric of a company and p/s's are really low right now. I do agree dow 3% growers are overvalued though.

I just can't help but see people looking through the rear view mirror at what lies ahead. They've never been right in the past, why assume they are now?

Also I saw a billboard for Tide (thats the laundry detergent) on 101 yesterday. At first I thought, nah that can't be a Tide ad, it has to be that software "cleanup" (or whatever it was) that had a box that looked like Tide. But it was Tide alright.

Anyone who knew how coveted these billboards were on 101 about 2 years ago would find this truly ironic.
