It's a funny/strange thing....We LOVE this breed (and in fact, most dogs in general, except pit bulls) but the Papillon is a scamp, and sooo cute while they are being cute! This little CZ CONSTANTLY checks out his entire territory, and while on one hand that's a good and natural thing, on the other hand, we get tense because our little Prince found a hole under the fence after a dry spring, got out, ran across the back, and onto a very busy street...where he got killed by a car going too fast. SOOOOO, because our back yard while fenced, is quite "foresty" in back, and hard to check....we get nervous with him constantly checking....

Of course, then The Captain says...."NOW, you don't DO anything all day, so go get him trained....." Which usually leads to additional lip from me, and of course, the discussion about training gets totally diverted.......

Wonder if those things happen in anyone else's back yard?
