For all I know, Mr. Callahan may well be a Jew-hater. Or he may not be. I couldn't tell from the article, although it did convince me that he better learn to think before he opens his mouth.

It's all in how you frame it. If you vote for someone who is attuned to your political philosophy, that's the beauty of this system. If you, OTOH, vote for someone who is the same religion, race, or ethnicity as you, then you're a bigot, IMO. If you vote for someone of the same race, etc. because you just assume that makes you political soul mates, or more particularly against someone from another group because you assume you aren't, then that's bigotry, as well. If you instinctively frame your opposition to someone based on that group difference rather than on political philosophy or positions, that's a pretty clear indicator of an underlying bigotry. Lipstick is not enough for that pig.

When predominantly black cities elect a black mayor, or predominately
black districts elect a black Congressman, I have not read an editorial calling it
"racism."

You need to be careful here not to step over the bounds of political correctness.

When a traditional minority becomes a majority and appeal to race to elect one of "their own," it's not bigotry, but when a traditional majority does, it is.

You need to understand that only whites can be racist, and only men can be sexist.

This is true even in countries where whites are in the minority, or where (as in this country) men are in the minority.
Doesn't matter.
