Why is Israel expected to follow standards far beyond the behaviour of anyone else in the world?

Israel is a democratic country surrounded by monrachies and dictatorships. That is why it attracts sympathy and understanding from the democratic West and other democratic countries such as India. Hence like the US, Israel is expected to behave responsibly, irrespective of how the other countries behave.

No, Israel is choosing yet another method to raise the ante in the cycle of violence that Israel started. Remember, Al Aqsa started the suicide bombings only after Israel killed their leader. How many more Israeli civilians are you going to serve up as martyrs before you give up on expanding Israel's border?

Al Aqsa Brigades threatens families of Israeli officials

JENIN (AFP) — Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, an offshoot of President Yasser Arafat's Fateh movement, on Sunday threatened to attack relatives of Israeli officials if Israel expels the kin of West Bank suicide bombers to the Gaza Strip. “We warn the Israeli government against deporting martyrs' families, and if they do so the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades will retaliate by striking the families of Israeli officials,” the group said in a statement received by AFP. The group also called on all Arab governments to break contacts with the Israelis, saying that “some Arab states are trying to sabotage the resistance.”
