I spent a week driving thru Oregon about 10 years ago. Nice place, but kind of hot (by my standards) except for the coast. Lots of vineyards and wine-tasting opportunities, if you like that sort of thing. A great place to grow raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Lots of leftists and Green Peacers. Ralph Nader got lots of votes in the last presidential election.

BTW, I know you're into exchange-traded funds. I've seen a few blurbs about some new bond ETFs starting up in the near future.

HI David,
If you're going that far you might also take a gander (whoops) @ Southern BC too. It'll be cheaper until the greenback and loonie reach par ;o)

regards
