Why should we think that the market for homes will drop off gradually??

Its just that for those home prices to drop, we need more than a lack of buyers, we need sellers. Unlike paper, this is a real functional asset and as such is not prone to an overnight collapse. All IMO.

Edit-Unless we get massive overnight job losses.
