JMNSHO,

Prices in some areas will collapse, even as sales slow considerably. I think it's upon us and it will be rapid. Let's watch the homebuilder stocks, the stocks of the mortgage lenders and those housing start numbers ...

I bought the building where I have my office in 1983. Over the next few years, the price tripled. Over the few years that followed, it got cut in half. I think it’s the same Psych as with paper assets, might be even more so, because it is a big ticket item and a more “real” priority. When the prices go up, they go up big, they CAN really run away from a buyer of limited means. Everyone is in a hurry to buy. When the prices decline, people are in a ‘hurry’ to... wait. A real acceleration IS possible. IMO, indeed.
