Dear JDN,

Well, let's just hope for the best. It doesn't bother me that much that the crooks aren't going to jail (because we would then have to send half the politicians to jail where they'd have free food and entertainment at my further expense) but it does bother me that so much effort by so many people to build such a company can go by the wayside so easily. Even worse, the media was the ring leader in this witch-hunt, possibly exploited by banks, the competition, and bankruptcy lawyers.

With WorldCom operating under Chap. 11, I wonder whether they'll cause problems for some of the other telecoms (i.e. the ones who still need to be concerned about servicing their debt). If there are other weak ones, this could conceivably cascade.

JMHO.
