Clinton said "the horrendous march of the pandemic" could mean "more terror, more mercenaries, more war, destruction, and the failure of fragile democracies."

What a maroon.

I think the cure of AIDS is certainly a worthwhile objective for everyone the world over. But what it has to do with "more terror, ... democracies" I just don't know.

I do have some doubts about it becoming the responsibility of the United States to cure AIDS whereever it appears. If we need to contribute some money, fine. But we need to keep in mind that our own country is already footing the bill for the vast majority of all AIDS research; and now Clinton & others want even more.

I'm not quite sure where all this money comes from. The Middle Class is already broke. I've got two kids in college and my pretax living expense is easily $10,000 a month. Do you think I want to pay for this AIDS problem? I mean, I'm sorry, but I do not want increased income taxes, and that's what we're talking about.

Ted, <Where is Bill Clinton where you need him?>
Out associating the AIDS epidemic with "more terror, more war, more destruction":

Tenchusatsu, do you have any idea what a scourge AIDS has become in Africa? In some countries, 60-70% of the sexually active adult population is infected. Whatever democracies exist in the region are severely threatened. In fact, the whole stability of the region is in jeopardy.
