I have learned one thing on the market (not only one, but one important thing, nonetheless) and that is whenever we think we know something "they" change the rules.

I can assure you that when the "bottom" comes, just like when the "top" came, very few will see it and even fewer will take advantage of it.

IMO, it will be many years before the market, generally, is "safe" and stable enough to attract serious long-term investment again. In the meanwhile it will just be a casino --- even more than it has been. Anyway, as the S&P/earnings charts by Decisionpoint showed us, there is no investment merit at these levels.
