How bout the "Patriot" indicator?

Following the WTC attack, the Patriotic thing to do was to buy more stocks. The mutual fund investor wasn't liquidating.

The "Patriot" indicator has now flashed an "every man for himself" signal and mutual funds are selling into every mini rally.

The financial markets are going to have to capture the imagination of the average investor, in a positive light, or more redemptions are to come. We need a new flag to rally around. Capture the imagination and you'll capture their wallets, or bill folds as they say here in the South.

Warp,

I don't think the over sold indicators have much meaning in a post bubble bear market.

We didn't have them back in 1929, or when Japan popped and the Naz bubble is right up there with them both.

The reality is with the market down this far and still no capitulation, the market has now already caused the second dip to happen with almost a 100% certainty.

Anyone care to add any other technical indicators?

Warp, how about bullish percentage indexes for COMP, NDX, SPX, OEX, Summation Indexes for COMP and NYSE, TICK & TICKQ, VXN, and a bunch more?
