Some good news via the Inquirer:
Hammer pix, 333MHz FSBs and mountains of mobos at theinquirer.net

As the title implies, AMD is appparently now considering using a 333 MHz FSB on Athlons. About time.

The guys at Pentarsys write to say that, at NVIDIA's nForce 2 launch, both Jen-Hsen of NVIDIA and Hector Ruiz of AMD were quoted as saying that there is a distinct possibility that the Socket 462 architecture could go to the 166 MHz FSB.

This article also contains this link watch.impress.co.jp from a Japanese site which has some AMD foils on the Clawhammer and Opteron. What I noticed is that both of them say that DDR 266, 333 and "future memory technologies" are supported. I take this to mean DDR 400 will be supported.

Also the HT link on Clawhammer is 16 bits, not the 8 bits someone claimed (Opteron has 3). The L2 is either 256 or 512 for Clawhammer and 1M or 2M for Opteron.

Hammer pix? I didn't see any at watch.impress.co.jp -- maybe Inq was talking about their "foils."
