Time is running short before the northern front opens up, imo.

What do you envision in that scenario? Syria, Iran, Iraq et al supplying Hamas at the front lines? I would think the front line will be several hundred kilometres deep...about the range of rockets. It may be that US involvement in Iraq is a necessity of forthcoming area war logistics and the original reasons for whacking Iraq are moot points. One thing for sure, the likelyhood of a broad mid-east war is ratcheting up.
The US economy is going to sag under military costs, markets further belaboured, unemployment significantly increased and then the scene is set for civil unrest (vis a vis Viet Nam) IMO. A dramatic terrorist act now within the US and .......How did we get here? Oh Yeah! OBL. We were warned the worst was yet to come......
