I am not sure I said anything about debugging related to hardware (wbmw was putting the words in my mouth a little bit here). But potential for wide scale beta of Win x86-64 would be very useful in my opinion. And in a remote possibility of a hardware problem found, a replacement chips could be sent inexpensively.

As far as the real release of Hammer, I am getting more skeptical about an early one, after listening to the CC. But a pilot could still be a possibility.

John, do you think that MB and chipset partners are in on it? If not, they would get very pissed if they have to throw hundreds of thousands of Socket A MB and chipsets into the dumpster.
