I worked for NetDynamics in 1998. They were the first Application Server. They were sold to Sun Microsystems. Kiva another application server was sold the same year to Netscape (since taken over by AOL). Bluestone was sold to HP. I now work for IBM, so take this as you like, but the Gorilla Game for Java Application Servers is over and IBM has won! BEAS will continue to lose marketshare.
