Of course...........we would be stupid to join if there will be less rights. However, we will have to make compromises since many of the member states will not be as advanced.

If the world government can't either be A - Dominated by the US or B - An agreement between democracies with at least a generation long tradition of respect for human rights, then I'm not interested. If the other countries are not advanced enough then the world government can wait another couple of hundred years, at least as long as we don't encounter hostile extraterestrial aliens during that time frame.

That was in 1995-96.

No, the first poll in the series was 1990 , the last was 2000-2001. During that period people have become less comfortable with the EU (because it has gotten bigger and more expensive). I suppose its possible that people have become more comfortable with the EU since 2001 but I don't see any evidence to support that idea.
