why worry about pro forma? here's the real thing:

GAAP reported loss was
$14 million or $0.02 per share in the third quarter compared to a loss
per share of $0.26 in the year ago quarter and earnings per share of
$0.05 in the second quarter of fiscal 2002.

Probably. And it's going to take longer for everyone to digest the numbers because of the recent out cries about expensing options and pro forma reporting.

FWIW I don't mind when companies use pro forma
But I think they should also report actual earnings to the public instead of just the SEC filings.
