Dear John and Petz:

Redo your calculations for DDR400 (PC3200) which is already available. Matter of fact, PC3500 (DDR 433MHz) is available now. Many of those BW limited benchmarks would be won by CH due to the higher efficiency of an on die DRAM controller alone. The AXP benchmarks are run on PC2100. PC2700 is 25% faster, PC3200 is 50% faster and PC3500 is 63% faster. Just on BW alone, PC3200 CH tests would take down most of those benchmarks (those AXP benches using PC2700 use non synchronous DRAM which lowers efficiency and thus, performance, a fact well known in these tests).

Adding IPC on top of that and NW needs far more than 3.4GHz, at least 4GHz. Not likely for 2003.
