I have this rather heretical idea that all interest in publicly held companies should be in the public domain. Now that would be true disclosure. When some analyst comes out with a recommendation on a stock, if you could look up what his companies proprietary holdings are, and have been, you would know right well if he was blowing smoke or believed what he was touting.
