A I recall, Poindexter and North were convicted and basically had their lives and careers ruined. It was only meddling by Congress that allowed them to escape punishment.

It was a low level operation which impacted no one. A couple guys should have done time for misappropriating government funds. It was akin to David Watkins using the WH helicopter to transport him and his buddies to golf courses. Nothing more.
