Where did he say that? (that the analyst caused a stock to plummet)

You may have inferred it, but I don't think that is what he was saying. I think he is saying that because of the lousy job of analysts, investors relying on analysts don't understand the issues and therefore are more uncertain about the companies (esp. their accounting practices).

He is saying the investors relying on analysts are essentially uninformed.

Do you disagree with this?

The analysts are not causing stock price plummets, but they are certainly part of the equation that investors get to see (just as poor management and execution are an even bigger part of the equation).

My point was how is this going to help AMD's coverage by the analysts...?
