Why? Because it bothered you he was smoking it or because you wanted to smoke it?

I don't think I want to ever quit totally(whis I'd never started actually)
But rather I would like to cut back to maybe five or so a day.

I did cut back about two years ago. Instead of smoking almost 3 packs of camel straights per day(and buying em by the carton)
I now buy them two packs at a time. One pack straights, one pack filters.
And I don't buy more until I finish the filtered ones too.
And I'm roughly about 2 packs a day.

I also always have a tin of Bali Shag to roll my own if I run out late night and don't have the motivation to go to the store.

Interestingly though
The new tax excludes loose tobacco for rolling as well.
