TRUE CONFESSIONS!
I actually cancelled a dinner date because I refused to miss American Idol.
Actually I grew to respect Simon when he kept his nastiness to an objective evaluation-- even if it was a cruel one. The music and acting business is no place for the sensitive as I learned from my brief experiences with both. But he lost my respect when he didn't tell Christina that she was less than great last week. That ticked me off. Up til then I thought he was honest at least. And I think the format of the show when they announce who isn't coming back, which I saw for the first time this week, was the most awful, cruel setup possible. For Simon to add to the degradation of that was uncalled for. Poor AJ. Imagine having to watch that video of yourself after you knew you'd lost. Awful.

Did you know they have signed for a second season?
We can replace our trading addiction with American Idol addiction. Once an addict.......
Now Laz knows what I do for fun.
Is that sad or what.

I see I missed the American Idol conversation, sigh. I wouldn't miss it for anything, though nothing is as interesting as Big Brother 3.

Simon was of course hired to be mean. That's what he did in the UK, too. It's part of the show -- a corporate decision! Two soft cops and a really mean guy they disapprove of ever so much. Right. They want the ratings, too.

(I think I read that Simon owns the show.)

Are you going to watch Arkansas Children's Hospital? I'm not.
