In the meantime, why pass up the chance with gold, simultaneously casting a vote, follow a mystery, making a speculation, punishing a bunch of crooks, and answering a question, namely “who is the bag-holder of the unpaid-for ‘deferred delivery clause’?”.

So here's my basic question: Given this hugely complicated gold derivative problem that directly involves a lot of major governments, why do you think they'll lose and you'll win? If they need the price of gold to stay down for 24 years until the hedges are unwound, wouldn't it make more sense for us to invest in something else? After all, these governments have a lot of cops and guns and stuff and know how to use them. Heck, back in the thirties they confiscated most of the U.S. gold.

have you ever played around the rocks and tide pools, finding youself suddenly surrounded by rapidly rising water, cutting off planned-for way to reach higher ground? I have, and was terrified.

I had a similar but opposite experience once. Climbed a mountain alone here in Alaska, making a mental map of the snow patches on the way up. And then glissading down faster and faster, picking up speed, and suddenly realizing I was on the wrong snow, and managing to stop on a tiny nubbin of rock just before launching into open space toward the rocks far below. Sheer terror!
