I agree, it suports the deflation, lower demand thesis. The housing stocks, oil and gold all going down in light of lower rates was quite out of sorts with the market until this last down spurt. Oil,Housing and gold would rally on TNX yields going down pretty consistently. I know cause I was long golds and oil and short housing for most of the year until 4-6 weeks ago when Gold decoupled from Equities and bonds and didnt rally I unwound the trade(thank goudness). It is what disturbed me the last three weeks. I also talked to a guy who trades Mortgage back's this weakend and he pointed out swap spreads increased for no reason on Friday which he said was something to worry about. In any case looking over charts and the feel for sentiment makes me feel we will see saw back to Naz 9K and S&p 950 before we head back down sometime early next year. IMHO
