I have that piece right here. "Dysfunction For Dollars." I figured the title and subtitle told pretty much the whole story and wasn't going to read it -- but now I will....

The Pelzer article was fascinating. The fascinating thing wasn't so much what he is, but that he gets away so successfully with such an outrageous scam. Including the bulk purchases of his own books that keeps them on the best seller lists forever. And the fact that his former editor, who has to know what he is, married him.

His poor mother. Can you imagine?

Since he managed to find and interview one brother, I wonder why he was unable to get from him the phone numbers of the other two.

And I wonder if that article will have any effect on his career. It's surprising he agreed to be interviewed by the NYT, I think.
