Yes, so did the investors in Northpoint Communications, but they ended up with a company that had a 30+ to 1 ratio of inaccuracy, which eventually took down the company. Level 3 has the same problem. Think of it this way, Qwest has disputes with such companies as Touchamerica, and others and will go through arbitration with many, and resolve a few before, and lose many because they will simply go bankrupt. The same exists with Level 3, and my 10 to 1 may have been a little off, and it seems that it could be as high as 16 to 1 ratio of amounts owed to Level 3. So, for every $1000 Level 3 says customers owe them, the customer's say they owe $100 and less. Now take that ratio into the tens of millions.
This is simply very interesting to me and exciting, and I am going to watch very carefully and learn from the behavior of this stock. A stock that should be going sharply down is going sharply up. Hey, maybe there is something else behind the scenes that is pulling it up. I I can't wait to find out what it is, if anything at all.
Heck, the GDP just came in at half expectation, and this stock goes up more than .4! Where do people think they are going to increase or simply make any revenue from. There is simply no business out there. The small amount of customers that do exist have very, very tight competition on them, and Level 3 never seems to be able to win on any kind of value package because their prices are too high.

Also, Mr. Buffet and party did NOT actually invest $500, and I believe it was a purchase of their debt in some form. This is a huge, huge difference. This also means they did not have enough confidence in Level 3 to invest in them.

Is this stock going up instead of down, because there is a lot of buys to cover shorts?
Or are these geniune investment buys?
