Merrill recommendations have been worthless! Take today's LLY downgrade......they are insane constantly putting out crap. Just look at the chart!

When will CNBC wake up?

Yes, I place the phases of the moon on my S&P-500 chart, and sometimes in combination with other more normal TA some interesting clues can pop up....
Regarding the self-fulfilling aspects, that could certainly be a factor with something as obvious as the full moon, but very few people follow the various planetary alignments (and I am not talking about standard astrology), so that would be much less of an influence IMO. Most scientists will tell us the gravitational influence of such far off planets as Jupiter or Saturn for example, could not possibly have any effect on human beings on earth, but there could be other undiscovered factors involved.... In any case, it just makes sense to me that our "solar system weather" as I like to call it, including sunspot and solar flare activity, can possibly influence us to some extent, which could help tip the scales of our trading decisions one way or the other.
