I've never understood the Dell story. Personally, I'm with Petz, and that I would never make such a purchase through mail-order or the Internet unless I knew EXACTLY what I was receiving. In other words, I would like to "kick the tires". I mean there are people that are very familiar with computers today but for the average Joe to have purchased a computer by mail-order in 1992-weird! I have heard horror stories about DOA computers and horrible service from people that I know or have met.

Maybe people really like the "dude, you're getting a Dell" guy. If that's the case Mikey should give him a raise.
