must you hate jews to be an anti-semite?

Yes!

i don't hate jews.

Good, I hope you don't hate anyone.

oh yeah? seems like there is an active movement to 'hate' everything about what made this country great. hatred of our founding fathers, hatred of Christianity, hatred of the world "God", hatred of americans all around the world. i guess it's ok for everyone to hate white heterosexual men, but every other group is exempt.

This is exactly what I mean. Hate is everywhere, and America must be involved in an anti-hate campaign just as it is engaged in the War on Terror. I don't say that we are perfect, but we must at least try to eliminate hatred and intolerance.

don't think that isn't exactly what is planned! first afghanistan, then iraq, then possibly iran? maybe syria? you have to take it one step at a time. don't think that the interventionists won't try to drag us into yet another arab conflict after we are through tussling with saddam. count on it as long as jews have a stranglehold on our country.

I don't know where you get your information, but last I heard there were still terrorist training camps and cells intent upon harming others holed up in these countries. I seriously doubt that after the licking we give Saddam that any of these ME countries would want to engage us in war for the sake of a bunch of thugs. Americans won't buy into an "arab conflict" for the sake of conflict. Time will tell.

the point i'm trying to make is that everyone has a bias. when i try to point out the jewish biases here in america i am labeled anti-semitic. it's ok to hear jewish bias in the media and in government all day long. apparently it's not ok to hear from a biased perspective that does not have an emotional attachment to israel, but is interested in america-first.

I'm interested in all points of view providing they can be discussed in a civil enough manner. It is when individuals engage in petty name calling, slandering, and objectionable mud slinging that the exchange ends. (I am not talking about you specifically) As for perspective and bias, we aren't forced to listen to every POV, but every POV is allowed to be freely spoken just as you have the freedom to speak yours here.

didn't ask you to trust me on anything. you hear the jewish bias all the time, i am simply offering the america-first perspective so people can assess both sides. for that you call me an anti-semite. i don't hear anyone of note calling the jewish dominated media anti-gentile. how convenient that anyone who dares criticize the policies of israel or the pro-israeli lobby gets slapped with the term anti-semite.

I guess where I have a problem is that I am not convinced that America or its media are overwhelmingly run by Jews or any other religious group or that agreeing with parts of any Jewish perspective is particularly anti-American. I haven't seen overwhelming evidence of this bias. Every American Jew that I know is extremely pro American and very patriotic.

You and I understand that there are American Jews and that those people have their bias just as every other group will have their bias. I don't think you hear anyone call Jews anit-gentile because for he most part they aren't anti-gentile. People get slapped with derogative terms all the time i.e. racist, bigot, anti-Semite, RWE, LWL, sexist. Heck a couple of left leaning ardent posters here like to call me Spongia because I worked for a school district in a past life for a few years. I do find that ironic considering the left has always claimed unions and School employees as their own.

It is understood by civil individuals that we all have the right to a perspective just as we have the right to disagree. It is the violence that hatred and intolerance spawns that must be controlled and eliminated. That would be a lofty goal.

PS I absolutely love white heterosexual men. ;)
