NVDA and ADBE ----- ODOD's? Nope, not yet, and here is why

This is different than the ADVP or MIR story. ADVP tanked on an old news story and dispute that has been going on for nearly 4 years and was already in the stock. Analysts have known all about it. MIR was down from $8 recently to under $3 (PE was uner 2). Enough was enough and with the C.C. coming up and 36 cents EPS for last quarter, it was a very high R/R since MIR management always does a good job with their calls. So what is next year doesn't look like it will grow...the PE was under 2! LOL!

But NVDA and ADBE are different stories altogether. Both announced unexpected and large earnings shortfalls. Key words are "UNEXPECTED" and "LARGE."

That means they could fall further because guidance was not even comforting. Now if NVDA breaks $10 and another round of panic's start, then we maybe have something to trade, but right now it is just an OK R/R. You could buy here and put in a mental stop in the high $9's, if you think the Naz is going to rally, or just wait. Ditto ADBE. Both have a 60% chance of breaking $10 and $17 respectively, IMHO.

Dave,
How do you differentiate your ODOD plays from the ones that don't bounce??? NVDA would be a good example of why I avoid these type of plays.

(ANYONE PLAYING O.D.O.D. STOCKS? ---- The REWARDS Just Keep Comin')

Thanks for the posts Dave, I picked up MIR @2.85 (sold some @4 but looks like a stock to hold for a double), got NVDA @14.87 on Monday and sold it all Tuesday before the close @16.35, just lucky on that one, thought I could buy it back cheaper. I'm new to your site, appreciate your research and thoughts. I'm a little on the technical side, timings big with me. Again thanks for your posts, hope I can contribute in the future. Bo
