I love that line, "growing concern among Americans."

I read Nadines' post as being a paraphrase of the NYT, and very tongue in cheek.

EDIT: I'm sure she can speak for herself. Sorry for the noise.

The NYT has been the whipping boy of choice for the "liberal press" whiners as long as I can remember. With such "fair and balanced" choices as Rush, Drudge, the WSJ editorial page, Fox News, and the Washington Times at their disposal, I find it all ludicrous.

Speeking of ludicrous, buried deep inside one of those nefarious "biased" NYT articles, for fans of the Hashemite restoration option, we have this little comment.

King Abdullah met with the president to discuss the Middle East but also to press his argument against an American invasion of Iraq, which he called "ludicrous" in an interview over the weekend with CNN. King Abdullah has long been opposed to any war and to the use of bases in Jordan to stage American air and commando operations against Iraq, an option that American military planners are considering. nytimes.com

Abdullah apparently didn't comment on all the troops he has massed on the Saudi border, though. Meanwhile, there is apparently a solution on hand in certain parts of the world, for the CNN problem, so people don't get confused about things like what Abdullah says versus he's actually doing, according to "reliable sources".

Edit: Given permission, they didn't waste any time, ensuring "fair and balanced" coverage in on little corner of the world anyway.
