I don't know how to tell which people do or don't, or what to do about those who don't. Well, if we can tell by genes who has bootstraps and who doesn't, we can tell the ones with them to get back on the horse and we can devise some treatment for the others. Haven't you ever had an acquaintance tell you about something bad going on in his life and not know whether to slap him on the back and tell him to buck up or give a more therapeutic response? When that happens, you're making a guess about how resilient the individual is. I rarely feel confident about making that call. Perhaps you're spared that ambivalence... <g>
