KLP It's a foregone conclusion that if we invade there will be reprisals. We're so far removed from that arena and we have our anti-terrorist defense so firmly in place, we should be safe, I guess. So far the only bioterrorist attack has been perpetrated by some whacko - as yet not found - within our own country. I hope we're not off topic here.

Biden on Iraq - for the record:

msnbc.com

Aug. 4 — The United States probably will go to war with Iraq, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman said Sunday, unsure of the timing but certain that force must be used to oust Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. But Sen. Joseph Biden stressed the need for involvement of other nations in any military action and subsequent rebuilding effort. And in comments earlier Sunday, the chief U.N. weapons inspector said he wanted Iraq to agree to the return of U.N. inspectors before he accepted an offer to visit the country for technical talks

But then, on the other hand, I can't even imagine a bioterrorism attack, or chemical attack, or nuclear attack on this country, and honestly I don't think the majority of citizens can either.

I can.

I've worried two times since 9-11 that a WMD attack would occur... on Memorial Day, on the day the markets tested the 9-11 bottom, and now, there's a third. My premonitions about it have been more intense than anything I can recall before ... that this Tuesday/Friday might be targeted.

The anniversary of Hiroshima/Nagasaki.

For the first time, I ache, with dread. It's not inspired by fear for myself but for others. I sense that I was given the intense premonition to warn about it; perhaps a few will listen and take a trip to the mountains Monday night, as a precaution. I hope I'm wrong but it feels too right.

I'd gladly choose being labelled an eccentric nutcase over the alternative.
