OK, I'll bite. KSP is constant of solubility. How
much of the stuff will dissolve in one litre of
water at standard temp and pressure in moles per
litre. If it very soluble, then many moles kicking
and screaming as only moles can when forced to
dissolve, will disaparu in your old aqua velva.

KSP's are usually expressed in formula of products
over reactants. as in

K= [Ag+][Cl-]
=========
[AgCl(s)]

This means K is a number indicating the amount of
dissociation of AgCl (solid) into ions of Ag and
Cl in an aqeous. K in this case is 2.8 X 10^-10
moles per itre. It is actually a product of the
concentration of l just the top two ions and is
also called the ion product constant.

In the case of the Russian Sub they were using
H2O2 or hydrogen peroxide to generate steam to
power their torpedoes. They had a leak. H2O2 is
corrosive and could have cause the leak but they
know its dangers and probably had it in very good
non corrosive tanks. Bad seals or damaged tanks
are possibly the cause of the accident.

Other possibilities are accidental leakage of
seawater into the peroxide tank by pressure
accident, or premature ignition of the motor
through faulty electronics, possibly eaten away
by peroxide. Remember Apollo moon mission fuel
cell accident in the oxygen tank? Same sort of
thing could happen with bare wires to a sensor.

Nitrobenzene may be a safer fuel and is used as a
diesel fuel substitute where oxygen is not
available for torpedoes.

The best way to oxidize cons is the cheapest. It may be possible to burn them with lime and they give off no off-gas that way as the SO2 gets eaten up by the Calcium. Then you can rock them or spin them or whatever (cyanide, etc..)to get the gold out. If there is Arseno in the con I sure would not breath the vapours from closer than about 1/4 mile upwind. To abate that you could try mixing peridotite rock and iron chips in the flue in a ladder screen of sorts. Might work. Roasting is cheap as the con burns so it does not need much fuel to process. You can also run a generator with the heat you produce.

H2O2 would oxidize a con but it would also tend to oxidize everything else too. And you still have to get the gold out. It has been suggested to use a microwave to oxidize pyrite etc.. that also would work, but also has off gas.. and it could be done in the presence of lime and catlysis.
