The really shameful thing about the way the Bush Cabal ended the Gulf War is that the "decision" to not march on Baghdad was "in the can" from the git-go. It was part of the deal Bush 41 cut with Japan, SA and the other alliance members and payors for the war. They didn't want us to take out Saddam, so we didn't. Everything else we hear is spin. The really dirty trick that Bush 41 played on the citizens of Iraq was his shameless cheerleading for the Kurds and Shias down in the Shat al Arab to rebel. As soon as they did, he cut 'em loose, and Saddam cut 'em down. Pure deceit on the part of Bush to manipulate the region's power balance.
