Arafat could have accepted a very reasonable settlement yrs ago that held gains for the Palestinians. And he rejected it.

"When young people see no future for themselves they die. When they see no future for themselves and they are full of hatred, they kill. The Palestinians see no future -- and Israel has played a role in creating this situation -- make no mistake about it. "

I am responding so you do not believe I am ignoring your post. I am not going to address your post because I know for certain there would never be total agreement on this issue no matter what position anyone took. This is a very important issue but I can't make the time to truly address it. I would drop everything and make the time if I believed my addressing it would some positive effect but I am well aware it would not.

I will say that in every disagreement there are two sides to every story. Neither side is totally right but what is right is somewhere in the middle. It is too bad problems like this can't be addressed like the board game "Risk" where when it is over, there is a winner. The difference is everone is still alive at the game's end. Then you can have a re-match if necessary.
