Tim Ord is an interesting read occasionally. His Monday evening assessment is available at:

marketweb.com

He claims that the SP500 and NDX retest of the July 24th lows on something like 45% of previous volume is extremely bullish.

I hope he's right. I'm 100% long. Added QCOM and NOVN today.

Regards,

RWS

Que, noticed INTC not on that list. Wouldn't it participate in the recovery in your opinion?

QS:

How will you decide when to buy tech? Will you try to nail a bottom, or wait for some confirmation of a channel breakout?

In my arsenal of TA tools, I am running out of bullets to shoot. One after another, the indicators fail. One indicator that maybe I (we) have jumped the gun on is the $VXN - would have been smart to wait for a 75-80 reading on that one. And we haven't heard much out of TRIN since June. Been oddly flat - an intraday reading over 4 would be a nice signal to see.

I've been amazed at the orderliness of the selloff of the past several days - not a buyer in sight.
