<Has Saddam announced his intention to commit suicide? He has guarded his life very very effectively these past 10 years so why should we think he wants to commit suicide now?> Kind of a naive view. Saddam has used gas on his own people. What would stop him from giving the weapon to Palestinians who are suicidal/homocidal? Or attacking Kuwait? Or Israel? Many countries have WMD but none are as fundementally backward as Iraq. DOC
