of course...but checking them for weapons?

check that the ID's are valid...but once in the cockpit, what would they need a weapon for?

I don't think I said that. Figure out a way to verify that they are who they say they are, for sure, but patting them down for weapons? How'd you like to have your unit checked by a TSA gorilla two or three times a day? Bureaucracy run amok.
