17:38 ET Cisco Systems Provides Guidance (CSCO) 12.07 +0.71: -- Update -- On call, company expects Q1 (Oct) revenue to be "flat to up slightly - low single digits." Q4 revs were $4.83 bln while Multex consensus is for Q1 (Oct) revenue of $4.976 bln, so that translates to +3%, sounds like maybe a slight warning or in-line... "would not be surprised to see book-to-bill below one"....expect gross margin in mid-60% range... company does not provide EPS guidance... stock moves higher on guidance to 12.93.

re: cisco call

They way they went through the 5-qtr timeline on the cisco results for profits, productivity and mkt share was awesome. The linearity of their gains, I mean. And the revenue per employee was unreal... but Chambers has a goal of 700K/employee- nothing like that in software thats for sure.

heres something interesting-
