D.A.R.E. to Lie, Cheat, and Steal (8/7)
Roy A. Willoughby, the former head of Pennsylvania's Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, has been charged with stealing more than $80,000 from the organization and using his position to obtain free booze , food, and lodging worth $32,000 from an area hotel. The money was stolen from grants to the Pennsylvania D.A.R.E. Officers Association that Willoughby helped procure in his position as crime-prevention manager of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, according to the 33-count warrant. Willoughby was named to that position despite a felony record for burglary and theft and three drunk-driving convictions.

Oh, the world is awake. My guess is the Europeans, contrary to much of the posting on SI, are more awake than the US. After all, they've been living with various forms of terrorism for many years.

Since I've already said, as publicly as this forum allows, that I suspect the neocons in this administration of blood lust for war, I obviously don't trust the public statements that come from that portion of the Bush folk. But if the warnings are credible to me, then I have to rethink my position.

I've now said this too many times for the good of the thread.
