Emile,

I don't think anyone has said that modern Israel and its inhabitants are going to Heaven unless they accept Jesus as their personal savior and acknowledge that their ancestors screwed up big time. I simply believe that these people will be confronted by God and the Truth when they go through the great tribulation, and many, if not all, will accept Jesus before they perish.

Where we differ is on the interpretation of "throwing out all the old testament promises concerning Israel". Just because Christ came, does not do away with the promises and prophecies concerning the last 7 years period known as the Tribulation. It is called Jacob's trouble, and it speaks to Israel the nation -- the one that existed in the old testament and the one that will exist during the tribulation. I, for one, want to be on the right side of the firing line when God defends the nation of Israel during that period.

I remain,

SOROS

The only one around here spitting venom is you.

>You are correct and you should heed your own words.<

Take your own advice and shut up.

What then? What Israel doth seek after, this it did not obtain, and the chosen did obtain, and the rest were hardened, according as it hath been written, God gave to them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes not to see, and ears not to hear---unto this very day......

I say, then, Did they stumble that they might fall? let it not be! but by their fall the salvation is to the nations, to arouse them to jealousy
Romans 11:7-11

It seems in your opinion Emile, that God made a mistake when He chose the Jews as His people. Then He had to select a new people. God makes no mistakes. His people had to stumble Emile, so you and I would have salvation through Jesus Christ.

Have a good weekend.
