lostie- just got yer messages. i missed monte's birfday bash. :-( got in saturday pm, unloaded a huge u-haul van in the rain, laid down to rest and it was sunday already. i didn't get to any entertainment spots. went to HEB to stock up daughter's cupboards on sunday, then to the lake for lunch at iguana grill and a beer at the oasis and then hit the road in the pm back to nm. you have a very beautiful city there. i bought a roadmap at a gas station before i hit texas. at least a third of the trip was two-lane blacktop. i must'a made 900 road changes, but i found a route that's just barely over 700 miles... a lot shorter than mapquest and yahoo maps wanted me to take. -polvo
