I have cable modem Marsh, it's wonderful, but not through AT&T.

ATT Broadband:modem speed great(especially if you tweak with a TCP tweak program),connection good(but I've had problems with my network card getting fried, weak signal that had to boosted etc.),reliability so-so(but that should be a temp thing with the conversion they're doing).Customer service is good as well.

I've had it for ages and it's been fantastic for me in both speed and reliability. Btw, I can also get SBC DSL but would never drop my cable for it.

I have AT&T cable internet. I have a cable modem with a splitter that lets me operate two computers at once ($5/month extra). It absolutely smokes. I've tested it & got speeds at 1 meg/second +/- & the slowest it's ever tested at was in the 110kps area. One large advantage is that my cable internet almost never goes down & I've had it for more than a year.

It can actually be cheaper than AOL & a dedicated line too. My cable company also gives a discount for cable internet & cable TV (with a premium package - HBO/Showtime, etc.)

Good luck!

Have used RoadRunner cable modem here for about a year. Now and then it goes down (maybe a few minutes once a month) but the speed is great. Definitely made a difference in scalps and other quick flips. MLNM still going oh my. Sold half.

ATT broadband is reliable. Can't comment on speed because it was a year ago when I last tested it, but it is definitely faster than Qwest's DSL was
