No one seems to understand that you can not "lose" a market that you are frozen out of anyway.

I will agree that CDMA2000-1X is "frozen out" of Europe .. but CDMA is not.

Were W-CDMA launched in Europe, QCOM would be receiving revenue on CDMA royalties. They would likely also be receiving some revenue from W-CDMA chipsets .. particularly the MSM6200 which supports W-CDMA and GSM, and employs zero-IF technology.

By what logic are you concluding that Europe means "zero" to QCOM?
