Don't forget polishing it too. I wear out polishing cloths and use up brasso shining up my bricks back at el rancho. Best to use a soft flannel cloth and just a wee tad of jewelers rouge with a light touch to bring out that deep burnished shine.

You can crawl the backwoods of the NWT, the Yukon and the gold producing areas, hang out in bars and get to know the locals, then offer to take excess nuggets off their hands. Need a jolly balance, caustic for testing (lye) and an electric drill for drilling bricks. Not necessarily the recommeneded way.

Bank of Nova Scotia sells gold ounces over the counter in TO. Some other banks handle it as well. Also you can buy gold certificates and stash them in your SDB. Options to buy or sell in 33.3 and 100 ounce lots can be bought from commodity traders or banks. Usually on your brokerage account you can get options ok's and then trade in gold derivatives. You should read up on covered puts and calls before venturing in there.

Another way you can buy gold is to mine it. I figure with the opportunity we have in the territories we can produce gold in a small mining situation for 100 dollars per ounce US. If we mine the location out in 9 months as I anticipate, we will distribute the proceeds of the venture at the end of this term and it will be the most profit you could make in gold speculation.
